Name: Kingston SV300S37A120G USB Device Driver
Author: Kingston

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

This Kingston SSD appears as a USB mass-storage device and normally uses Windows’ built-in driver. Do not install SATA/AHCI or Kingston SSD firmware utilities as USB drivers. In Device Manager, uninstall the device, unplug it, then reconnect and let Windows reinstall the generic USB storage driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear direct USB port, replace the cable/enclosure, and avoid unpowered hubs. Check Disk Management for an uninitialized or offline disk; initialize/assign a drive letter only if the drive is known good.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

If an older USB mass-storage or third-party enclosure driver is present, roll it back or uninstall it, then rescan for hardware changes. Use the enclosure vendor’s driver only if Windows’ in-box driver fails.
