Question 1

Install fails or no driver found?

Accepted Answer

The DataTraveler II uses Windows’ built-in USB Mass Storage driver. Cancel generic “driver updater” tools, connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, then uninstall any flagged USB mass-storage device in Device Manager and rescan.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Disk Management for a drive without a letter and assign one. Try another PC/port, remove other USB storage, and avoid unpowered hubs. If shown as Unknown Device, uninstall it in Device Manager and reconnect.

Question 3

Version/conflict issues after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Roll back or update the USB host controller/chipset driver, not the flash drive itself. Disconnect other USB drives, then let Windows reinstall the DataTraveler II as a standard mass-storage device.
