Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Close Serato/Virtual DJ and any Numark utility, run the 2.9.9 installer as administrator, and uninstall older Numark MIDI/USB drivers first. Reboot before retrying; Windows security/antivirus can block the installer.

Question 2

MixDeck not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Use a data-capable cable, confirm the unit is powered and in MIDI/controller mode, then check Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove other Numark MIDI driver versions and avoid forcing a generic USB audio/MIDI driver. Install only 2.9.9, reboot, then select the Numark MixDeck MIDI device in your DJ software.
