Name: Nokia USB Phonet Driver
Author: Nokia

Question 1

Install fails (Code 10/28 or unsigned driver)?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite and any existing Nokia USB drivers first, reboot, then run the Phonet driver installer as administrator. For legacy unsigned packages only, temporarily disable Windows driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known data-capable USB cable and a direct port, not a hub. Set the Nokia phone’s USB mode to PC Suite/Nokia mode, then check Device Manager for unknown USB devices and reinstall the phone’s USB composite driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove conflicting Nokia modem/USB entries in Device Manager with “Show hidden devices,” uninstall old Nokia software, reboot, and install only the matching 32/64-bit Phonet driver package.
