Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and use a Windows version compatible with Lumia 900/Windows Phone 7.5 drivers. If setup still fails, connect the phone and update the driver manually via Device Manager.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the original Nokia USB cable and a direct rear USB port, avoid hubs. Unlock the Lumia 900, reconnect it, and check Device Manager for an unknown or “Nokia Lumia 900” device before reinstalling the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nokia/Windows Phone USB or Zune-related drivers, reboot, then install the correct Lumia 900 driver package. Do not mix drivers from other Lumia models.
