Name: Nokia E71 USB Device Driver
Author: Nokia

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Nokia driver/PC Suite installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for older Windows versions. Disable driver signature enforcement only for a legacy Nokia package, then reboot before reconnecting the E71.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

On the Nokia E71, select “PC Suite” as the USB connection mode, not mass storage. Try another USB data cable/port, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager for “Unknown device”; reinstall the Nokia USB driver if present.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite and existing Nokia USB drivers first, remove hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install one matching driver package. Don’t mix bundled and standalone Nokia drivers.
