Question 1

Installer fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Run the Nokia CS 18 driver package as administrator, close Nokia PC Suite/Internet Modem utilities, and temporarily pause antivirus. If setup still fails, unplug the USB stick, reboot, then run the installer before reconnecting it.

Question 2

CS 18 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a rear/root USB port directly, not a hub. In Device Manager, check under Modems, Ports, or Network adapters for unknown/Nokia entries; uninstall marked entries and rescan. Confirm the SIM is seated and the stick is in modem mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts/old Nokia drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Nokia Internet Modem/PC Suite drivers, select “Delete the driver software” in Device Manager, reboot, and install only the latest CS 18 package. Avoid mixing packages from other Nokia USB modem models.
