Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

The Nokia 6120 classic driver is legacy and often unsigned. Run the installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode; if it still fails, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Modem not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a known-good USB cable and a rear USB 2.0 port. On the phone, set USB mode to PC Suite/Modem (not Mass storage), then check Device Manager for an unknown “Nokia” modem and update the driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/28 errors?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite and all Nokia modem entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install one driver version only. Avoid mixing old Nokia drivers with newer Windows modem drivers.
