Author: Nikon

Question 1

Install fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The LS 2000 uses legacy Nikon Scan/SCSI drivers. Run the installer as administrator in Compatibility Mode for the supported Windows version, or use a compatible VM; avoid forcing unsigned drivers unless you trust the source.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SCSI adapter is installed and recognized, use a unique SCSI ID, enable proper termination, power the scanner on before booting, and test the cable/adapter. Reinstall the SCSI host adapter driver if Device Manager shows errors.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Nikon Scan/TWAIN drivers and any duplicate scanner entries in Device Manager before installing the matching Nikon Scan version. Reboot after uninstalling, then reconnect the LS 2000 and install one driver package only.
