Author: Nikon

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Nikon setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and uninstall older Nikon Transfer/ViewNX software first. Restart before retrying.

Question 2

Coolpix S32 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power the camera on, use the supplied USB cable directly without a hub, and try another USB port. Check Device Manager for an unknown device and update it using Windows’ built-in MTP/WPD driver if available.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Nikon drivers/software, restart, then install only the S32-compatible package. On Windows 10/11, prefer the built-in camera/MTP driver unless Nikon provides a specific update; avoid mixing legacy Nikon utilities with new drivers.
