Question 1

Install fails on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

Older Nikon software for the Coolpix L320 may block installation. Run the installer as administrator, use compatibility mode for an older Windows version, or skip Nikon software and import photos via File Explorer.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Set the L320 to playback/transfer mode, use a data-capable USB cable (not charge-only), avoid USB hubs, and try a rear USB 2.0 port. Check Device Manager for an MTP/portable-device entry.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Nikon software/drivers, remove old USB device entries in Device Manager, reboot, then reconnect the camera and let Windows use its built-in driver.
