Name: Nikon Coolpix L24 Driver
Author: Nikon

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Nikon driver installer as administrator, disconnect the Coolpix L24, and close Nikon Transfer/ViewNX before installing. If Windows blocks the package, re-download it from Nikon and use a direct USB 2.0 port—not a hub.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Turn the L24 on in playback/transfer mode, use the original Nikon USB cable, and check Device Manager for “Unknown device.” Try another port and set the camera’s USB option to Mass Storage/MTP if available.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nikon drivers and software first, then reboot. If Nikon’s package still fails, let Windows Update install its built-in camera driver; avoid mixing drivers intended for other Coolpix models.
