Name: Kensington Universal Multi Display Adapter Driver
Author: Kensington

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the adapter before running the Kensington/DisplayLink driver installer, run it as administrator, and reboot when prompted. If setup still fails, uninstall any existing DisplayLink software first.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the adapter directly to a powered USB port on the PC, not through an unpowered hub. Try a different USB 2.0/3.0 port and cable, then check Device Manager for unknown USB devices or DisplayLink entries.

Question 3

Version conflicts or blank/extended display issues?

Accepted Answer

Remove older DisplayLink drivers and utilities before installing the current Kensington package. Avoid mixing drivers from different adapter models, reboot, and confirm the adapter appears under DisplayLink in Device Manager before changing display settings.
