Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous TrackballWorks/KensingtonWorks version, reboot, then run the installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus and avoid installing from a USB hub.

Question 2

Trackball not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port directly on the PC; for wireless models, re-seat or re-pair the receiver and check Device Manager under “Mice and other pointing devices.” Replace batteries if wireless.

Question 3

Version conflicts/buttons not working?

Accepted Answer

Don’t run TrackballWorks alongside KensingtonWorks. Remove the conflicting package, reboot, and install the version matching your trackball model; then confirm the correct device is selected in the app.
