Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the KensingtonWorks installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and remove any older KensingtonWorks/MouseWorks version before rebooting and reinstalling.

Question 2

SlimBlade not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the trackball directly to a rear USB port, not an unpowered hub. Try another cable/port, then check Device Manager for unknown HID devices and reinstall KensingtonWorks.

Question 3

Button/scroll settings lost after update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the old KensingtonWorks build, reboot, install the latest version for the SlimBlade, and recreate button mappings; avoid mixing MouseWorks and KensingtonWorks.
