Author: Kensington

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, confirm you downloaded the correct 32/64-bit package for your Windows version, and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the Kensington setup.

Question 2

Trackball not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port directly on the PC, not a hub. Check Device Manager for HID/mouse errors, reseat the cable, and test on another computer to rule out a faulty cable or port.

Question 3

Scroll ring or buttons not working after update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kensington TrackballWorks/KensingtonWorks software, reboot, then install the latest compatible version. Remove other mouse utilities that may conflict, and recheck button/scroll ring assignments in Kensington settings.
