Author: Kensington

Question 1

Installer fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the Ci20 driver setup as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for your OS version. Confirm you downloaded the correct 32/64-bit package; old Kensington installers may be rejected by current Windows.

Question 2

Mouse not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port directly on the PC, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown device” or “HID-compliant mouse,” then uninstall the entry and reconnect the mouse.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any previous Kensington mouse software/drivers, reboot, then install the latest Ci20 package. If Windows’ built-in HID driver already works, avoid stacking older vendor drivers.
