Name: JVC GZ MG130 USB Device Driver
Author: JVC

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Put the GZ-MG130 in Playback/USB Connection mode before plugging it in, use the camcorder’s direct USB port and a known data cable, avoid USB hubs, and connect AC power. Check Device Manager under Portable Devices or Imaging Devices.

Question 2

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the JVC/USB driver installer as administrator. On newer Windows, use Compatibility Mode for the driver’s original Windows version; if the installer is unsigned, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older JVC Everio/Pixela software and any existing JVC USB driver first. In Device Manager, enable “Show hidden devices,” remove stale entries, reboot, then install the correct driver.
