Name: JMicron PCIe SD MMC Host Controller Driver
Author: JMicron

Question 1

Install fails or setup exits?

Accepted Answer

The package may not match your exact JMicron PCIe SD host controller hardware ID or Windows version. Download the OEM/JMicron driver for your model and architecture, run setup as administrator, and uninstall any older package first.

Question 2

Device not detected or SD cards unreadable?

Accepted Answer

Check BIOS/UEFI that the PCIe SD/MMC controller is enabled, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If shown with a warning, uninstall the device and rescan so Windows reloads the correct driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts, Code 10/43, or unstable card access?

Accepted Answer

Windows’ inbox driver or a leftover OEM driver can conflict. Use Device Manager to roll back or uninstall the controller, reboot, then install one current OEM-specific JMicron driver rather than mixing packages.
