Name: JMicron PCIe MS Host Controller Driver
Author: JMicron

Question 1

Install fails or Code 10?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing JMicron MS host controller driver in Device Manager, tick “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then run the correct 32/64-bit package as administrator. If Windows blocks it, check signature/OS compatibility rather than forcing an unsigned legacy driver.

Question 2

Device or Memory Stick not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the controller is enabled in BIOS (for onboard) or reseat the PCIe card, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. Test a known-good Memory Stick in the correct slot; check hidden devices for a disabled controller.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Roll back the driver or use Update Driver > Browse > Let me pick, and select the JMicron MS Host Controller package matching your Windows version. Remove duplicate/ghost entries to stop Windows loading a generic or mismatched driver.
