Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Jabra Direct installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, reboot, then retry. Avoid generic “USB audio” driver packages; use Jabra Direct for firmware and device management.

Question 2

Headset not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the USB headset directly into a PC port, not a hub/dock. In Device Manager, uninstall any “USB Audio Device” or Jabra UC VOICE 550 entry, reconnect, and rescan. Set it as the default communication device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Jabra Direct versions and duplicate Jabra audio endpoints, reboot, then install the latest Jabra Direct/firmware. If Windows keeps reinstalling an old driver, update the driver from Device Manager after the Jabra software is installed.
