Question 1

Install fails or driver is unsigned?

Accepted Answer

Run the Jenoptik installer as Administrator, use Windows 7 compatibility mode, reboot, then reconnect the camera. Disable driver signature enforcement only if the legacy installer still blocks.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known data-capable USB cable and a rear USB 2.0 port. Set the JD C 3.1 SL to PC/Storage mode, power it on, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device.

Question 3

Version conflicts / duplicate entries?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Jenoptik, WIA, or TWAIN camera drivers and remove stale entries in Device Manager. Reconnect the camera and install one driver version only.
