Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ITV710/ITV712 USB video-capture unit, run the driver installer as administrator, and reboot before reconnecting. Remove any older ItemsTech capture driver first if Windows blocks the install.

Question 2

Device not detected or no video?

Accepted Answer

Plug directly into a rear USB port (no hub), try another USB cable, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB video device. Confirm the HDMI/composite source is active and selected in your capture software.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, uninstall the old ItemsTech capture driver with “Delete driver software,” reboot, then install only the package matching your model. Don’t install ITV710 and ITV712 drivers side by side.
