Question 1

Install fails or driver is rejected?

Accepted Answer

The T30 MP3 player uses a legacy unsigned driver on newer Windows. Run the installer as administrator in Windows XP compatibility mode; if Windows blocks it, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the T30 is set to USB Mass Storage/UMS mode, use a known data cable (not charge-only), and plug directly into a rear USB 2.0 port. Check Device Manager for unknown devices; remove and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts/old software?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous iRiver drivers and Music Manager, remove hidden USB devices, reboot, then install the T30-matched driver. Avoid mixing newer generic drivers with legacy iRiver software.
