Name: IRiver Internet Audio Player N10 Driver
Author: iRiver

Question 1

Install fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The N10 uses legacy iRiver Manager/driver packages that are often unsigned or blocked on 64-bit Windows 10/11. Run the installer as administrator in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode; if the N10 mounts as a removable drive, use native USB Mass Storage instead of the old driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the N10’s hold switch, use a known data-capable USB cable, connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, and avoid unpowered hubs. If available, set the player to “Removable Disk”/UMS mode rather than a proprietary mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older iRiver software and hidden USB devices, reboot, then install only the package matching the N10 firmware. Don’t mix drivers from other iRiver models.
