Name: IRiver H10 Driver
Author: iRiver

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the iRiver H10 installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for XP/Vista if needed. If using a legacy unsigned driver, disable driver signature enforcement temporarily, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the H10 is set to the correct USB mode—MSC/UMS for file transfer or MTP for media sync. Try a known data cable and a rear USB 2.0 port, then check Device Manager for an unknown device and update the driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old iRiver Plus or Windows Media Player MTP components, remove the H10 in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows reinstall. Avoid switching between MSC and MTP drivers without clearing the previous device entry.
