Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Unplug the iLP’s USB cable, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily pause antivirus. If setup still fails, update the driver manually in Device Manager. On Windows 10/11, check Sound settings first—many USB turntables use the built-in USB Audio driver.

Question 2

Turntable not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a USB port, not a hub, and try another cable. Confirm the iLP is powered and set to USB mode, then check Sound > Recording for “ION iLP.” Reconnect after Windows has fully booted.

Question 3

Old driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous ION or USB audio drivers, remove hidden audio devices, reboot, then install the current package. Set ION iLP as the default recording device and close other audio apps during setup.
