Name: Intermec PM43 (203 dpi) DP Driver
Author: Intermec

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Intermec PM43 driver installer as Administrator and pause antivirus temporarily. Remove old Intermec/PM43 entries under Print Management > Drivers, reboot, then reinstall the 203 dpi package.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the PM43 is powered and Ready, connect USB directly (not through a hub), or verify the Ethernet IP. Create/select the correct port (USB001 or TCP/IP) instead of letting Windows install a generic driver.

Question 3

Version/port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Intermec drivers and delete stale PM43 queues first. Use the driver matching the 203 dpi model and correct port; mixing 300/600 dpi drivers can cause scaling or communication errors.
