Question 1

Install fails on Windows?

Accepted Answer

Remove old print queues and stale driver packages via Print Management, then run the InfoPrint Color 1664 installer as administrator and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the USB connection or network IP is reachable. For network use, add the printer manually with a TCP/IP port matching the Color 1664’s assigned address; for USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous InfoPrint/PostScript or PCL drivers, clear the print spooler, and install the package that matches your Windows version and architecture. Avoid mixing PCL and PostScript drivers for the same queue.
