Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm TPM is enabled in UEFI (Security/TPM/PTT) and firmware is current. Run the Infineon/OEM installer as administrator, temporarily pause third-party antivirus, and use the package matching TPM 2.0—not an older 1.2 driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager under Security devices for “Trusted Platform Module” or an unknown device. If missing, enable TPM in BIOS/UEFI, load BIOS defaults, and cold boot. Avoid clearing the TPM unless required.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows/OEM updates?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, uninstall the conflicting OEM/Infineon TPM device and delete its driver, reboot, then let Windows Update install the inbox driver or install the latest OEM-approved Infineon package.
