Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Windows may block the IM9220’s older printer driver package. Run the installer as administrator, use Windows compatibility mode, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the package is unsigned.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the IM9220 is powered on and connected via the correct USB, parallel, or network port. For network use, assign a static IP and add the printer manually using the TCP/IP port; for USB, try another port and reinstall the plug-and-play device.

Question 3

Version conflicts after updating?

Accepted Answer

Remove old IM9220 print, WIA, and TWAIN entries in Print Management and Device Manager, reboot, then install only one driver package matching your Windows architecture.
