Question 1

Installer fails or says “OS not supported”?

Accepted Answer

ThinkCentre A30 drivers are typically 32-bit Windows 2000/XP packages. Don’t force them onto 64-bit or modern Windows; install the Intel chipset INF first, then graphics, audio, and Ethernet in that order.

Question 2

Onboard device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check BIOS for disabled audio, Ethernet, serial/parallel, or USB controllers and re-enable them. In Device Manager, verify the hardware ID matches the A30 subsystem ID rather than a generic ThinkCentre driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/31?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing Intel chipset/display/audio drivers, reboot, then install the A30 package cleanly. Avoid mixing drivers from other ThinkCentre models, which can overwrite the correct A30 device entries.
