Name: IBM ServeRAID M5014 SAS SATA Controller Driver
Author: IBM

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the IBM ServeRAID M5014 package for your exact Windows version, not a generic LSI MegaRAID driver. Install via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse, and verify the driver is signed. Disable Secure Boot only if the IBM package is unsigned.

Question 2

Controller or drives not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the M5014 is seated and enabled in BIOS/UEFI. Enter WebBIOS/Ctrl+H at boot, verify the RAID array is online, and reseat SAS/SATA cables and backplane connections.

Question 3

Version conflicts or BSOD after update?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing LSI/IBM MegaRAID driver, reboot, then install the matching M5014 package. If unstable, roll back in Device Manager and avoid mixing MegaRAID Storage Manager versions.
