Name: IBM Infoprint Color Driver
Author: IBM

Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the IBM Infoprint Color setup as administrator and try Windows compatibility mode for the listed OS. If it still fails, extract the package and add the printer manually via Add Printer > Have Disk, pointing to the extracted .inf file.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the USB, parallel, or Ethernet connection and selected port. Power-cycle the printer, reconnect directly, and for network models assign a static IP and create a Standard TCP/IP port.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old IBM Infoprint Color driver packages in Print Management, stop Print Spooler, clear pending jobs, restart the spooler, then install the matching 32/64-bit driver.
