Question 1

Install fails or setup cannot find the printer?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and confirm the Print Spooler service is running. Remove any existing IBM Infoprint 1572 entries in Print Management, then add the printer manually using a Standard TCP/IP port with Raw port 9100.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the printer’s IP address and ping it from the PC. Create the TCP/IP port manually instead of relying on WSD discovery; set the port to Raw 9100 and select the IBM Infoprint 1572 PS3 driver.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older IBM Infoprint or PostScript drivers, clear the print queue, and restart the spooler. Install the matching x86/x64 PS3 package and avoid mixing with a generic PostScript driver.
