Name: I O DATA WN AC433U Wireless LAN Adapter Driver
Author: I-O DATA

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the I-O DATA WN-AC433U installer as administrator. Uninstall any older I-O DATA wireless utility/driver first, reboot, and plug the adapter in only when setup asks. Pause antivirus/security software if it blocks the driver.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a rear USB 2.0 port directly, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for Unknown device/USB composite device; uninstall it, rescan, and reinstall the WN-AC433U package. Confirm the adapter LED and try another PC/USB port.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove other 802.11ac USB drivers/utilities. In Device Manager, right-click the adapter, choose Uninstall device and delete driver software, reboot, then install the latest I-O DATA package. Avoid mixing generic Realtek drivers with the vendor utility.
