Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Huawei card, run the driver installer as administrator, and match the 32/64-bit Windows version. Temporarily disable antivirus, uninstall any older Huawei Mobile Connect package, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Insert the SIM and card firmly; try another USB/PC Card slot. Install the Huawei driver before connecting the card, wait for the virtual CD/modem mode switch, then check Device Manager for an unknown modem or COM port and update manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropped connections?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Huawei Mobile Connect/dashboard and modem drivers, show hidden devices in Device Manager, uninstall stale Huawei entries, reboot, and install one matching driver package. Avoid mixing Huawei dashboard drivers with Windows Mobile Broadband drivers.
