Author: Huawei

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Older Huawei 3G modem drivers may be unsigned or incompatible with Windows 10/11. Run the installer as administrator, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if needed, and use the correct 32/64-bit package for your modem model.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the modem, try another USB port/cable (avoid unpowered hubs), confirm the SIM is seated, and ensure it is not in storage-only mode. Install the Huawei Mobile Partner/driver bundle so the 3G modem and virtual COM ports enumerate.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Huawei Mobile Connect/Mobile Partner software and modem drivers, enable “Show hidden devices” in Device Manager, remove stale modem/COM entries, then reboot and install only one matching driver version.
