Name: Huawei E5330Bs 2 Driver
Author: Huawei

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Huawei setup as administrator and use the package for the E5330Bs 2, not a generic Huawei Mobile Partner build. Temporarily disable antivirus and check whether Windows is blocking an unsigned driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a data-capable USB cable/port, power on the E5330Bs 2, and confirm it is in USB tethering/modem mode rather than CD-ROM/storage mode. Check Device Manager for an unknown Huawei composite device or modem.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Huawei dashboards/modem drivers, remove hidden Huawei devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the correct E5330Bs 2 driver. Avoid mixing the Windows generic modem driver with Huawei’s package.
