Author: HTC

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Older HTC Amaze 4G drivers may be blocked on Windows 10/11. Run the installer as administrator, try Windows 7 compatibility mode, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the unsigned HTC driver is rejected.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good USB cable and a direct rear USB port, not a hub. Set the phone’s USB mode to File Transfer/MTP, or enable USB debugging for ADB, then reinstall the HTC USB driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing HTC Sync/USB drivers, check Device Manager for yellow-marked HTC Android entries, remove old/hidden devices, reboot, and install only one compatible driver version.
