Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the HT Omega CLARO Plus setup as administrator and in Windows 7 compatibility mode. If Windows blocks the legacy driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, then reinstall.

Question 2

Card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off, reseat the PCI card, and try another PCI slot. Disable onboard audio in BIOS/UEFI, then check Device Manager for the CLARO Plus under Sound, video and game controllers.

Question 3

Version conflicts or no sound after update?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing HT Omega, C-Media, or onboard Realtek audio drivers in Device Manager with “Delete the driver software,” reboot, and install only the CLARO Plus package. Set the card as the default playback device and disable audio enhancements.
