Name: HoverCam Solo8 Driver
Author: HoverCam

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Solo8, close HoverCam and other camera apps, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Reboot before reconnecting.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the supplied USB cable and connect directly to a rear USB 2.0/3.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check Imaging devices or Other devices; uninstall any unknown entry and rescan. Confirm the Solo8 is powered and selected in HoverCam software.

Question 3

Version conflicts or old driver?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous HoverCam/document-camera drivers and software via Settings > Apps, restart, then install the latest Solo8 package. Avoid installing drivers for multiple HoverCam models, and set the Solo8 as the default camera in the app.
