Name: Hondata S300 Driver
Author: Hondata

Question 1

Driver install fails or Windows blocks it?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hondata installer as administrator. If Windows reports an unsigned or incompatible driver, disable driver signature enforcement temporarily, install the S300 USB driver, then reboot.

Question 2

S300 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Turn the ignition to ON so the ECU powers the S300, connect the USB cable directly to the laptop (no hub), and check Device Manager for an unknown/USB serial device. Try another cable and port.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older S300 Manager/USB driver versions, reboot, then install the latest Hondata package. Close other tuning/datalogging software before connecting, and keep S300 software and firmware matched.
