Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GT50N ATA Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Install fails or drive shows Code 10/39?

Accepted Answer

Avoid forcing old LG packages on modern Windows; use the built-in optical driver. In Device Manager, uninstall HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT50N under DVD/CD-ROM drives, reboot, then Scan for hardware changes. Run any installer as administrator.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check SATA power/data cables and BIOS detection. In Device Manager, rescan DVD/CD-ROM drives and IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Try another SATA port and confirm the BIOS SATA mode (AHCI/IDE) has not changed.

Question 3

Version/filter conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old burning suites or virtual-drive tools that add optical filters. Update chipset/SATA drivers and Windows. If a recent update broke the drive, roll back the driver or use System Restore; avoid mixing LG firmware updates with generic driver packs.
