Question 1

Install fails or drive stops after driver update?

Accepted Answer

Windows usually supplies the correct CD/DVD driver. Remove any third-party LG driver package, reboot, then let Windows reinstall the native optical drive driver via Device Manager > Uninstall device > Scan for hardware changes.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/IDE cable and power, confirm the GSA T50L appears in BIOS, and enable the port. In Device Manager, rescan; if shown with an error, uninstall it and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts or odd burning behavior?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old burning suites and upper/lower filter drivers, roll back to the Windows driver, and apply only LG firmware explicitly matched to the GSA T50L. Back up first.
