Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GH24NS95 ATA Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows already uses the built-in CD/DVD-ROM driver for the GH24NS95; there is usually no separate LG driver to install. If a downloaded package fails, do not force an incompatible installer—use Device Manager > Update driver > Search automatically, or Windows Update.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SATA data and power cables are secure, try another SATA port, and check that BIOS/UEFI lists the DVDRAM GH24NS95. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes; if an error appears, uninstall the device and restart.

Question 3

Version/conflict errors?

Accepted Answer

Remove old virtual-drive or burning software (e.g., Daemon Tools, old Nero) that can conflict with the optical drive, then uninstall the drive in Device Manager and restart so Windows reinstalls the correct driver.
