Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Close TV/capture apps, run the Hauppauge HVR 67xx installer as administrator, and reboot before opening WinTV. If Windows blocks it, use the vendor-signed package matching your Windows version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the HVR 67xx card in another PCIe slot, check Device Manager for unknown devices, and install the Hauppauge driver before capture software. Confirm the tuner/capture input is selected.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Hauppauge/WinTV drivers and hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest HVR 67xx package. Don’t mix Media Center/DirectShow driver versions; reinstall capture software if tuning or recording fails.
