Question 1

Installer fails on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

The legacy PCL 5e setup may not run. Extract the driver files and add the printer manually via Settings > Printers > Add Printer > Have Disk, pointing to the P7145 PCL 5e INF. Run as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a rear USB 2.0 port and a known-good cable; for network, confirm the printer’s IP and create a Standard TCP/IP port instead of relying on WSD discovery.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing Gestetner/Ricoh PCL drivers and stale printer ports in Print Management before installing. Avoid mixing PCL 5e and PCL 6 drivers for the same queue.
