Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Neat Mobile Scanner, run the downloaded installer as administrator, and temporarily pause antivirus. Reboot before reconnecting the scanner.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the original USB cable in a direct port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown device, power-cycle the scanner, then install the driver manually if needed.

Question 3

Old driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Neat scanner software and drivers, remove hidden USB devices in Device Manager, restart, then install only the latest compatible package. Avoid mixing Windows Update drivers with the vendor installer.
