Name: Neat ADF Scanner Driver
Author: Neat

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Neat ADF Scanner, temporarily pause antivirus, run the driver installer as administrator, then reconnect only when prompted. If it still fails, uninstall any previous Neat driver/software and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port instead of a hub, try a known-good cable, and confirm the scanner is powered on. In Windows Device Manager, check for unknown devices or USB errors; uninstall the affected entry and rescan hardware.

Question 3

Version conflicts / scanner not recognized by software?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Neat drivers and scanner utilities via Settings > Apps, reboot, then install the latest driver. Avoid mixing drivers from different Neat ADF models, and verify the ADF is closed/latched so Windows can initialize the scanner correctly.
